​Donald McKinnon

Lead Pastor

Pastor Don is a New England native born in Boston, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Natalie, have been married for nearly 30 years and have one daughter, Katherine Rose, who was born into Heaven in 1999.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1992–1994 and has lived throughout New England and beyond.

In April 2017, Don was called to serve as pastor of First Baptist Church of Sutton. Since then, he has helped lead the church’s revitalization, strengthen its connection to the community, and guide its transition to Legacy Church.

Don is passionate about biblical preaching, church revitalization, discipleship, and helping churches become healthy, gospel-centered communities. He also hosts the For the Kingdom Podcast, where he explores biblical truth and cultural issues from a Christian perspective.
When he’s not serving at the church, Don enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, studying history, philosophy, and apologetics, and cheering on the Boston Bruins, Red Sox, and Patriots. He serves on the Sutton Historical Commission and the Housing Production Planning Group. He is an active member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and a prospective member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Natalie McKinnon

Natalie was born in Machias, Maine, and moved to Massachusetts at the age of five, where she was raised. In her spare time, she enjoys writing poetry, doing crafts, and spending time with family and friends—especially her godchildren.


She holds a Director II certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and studied Early Childhood Education at Massasoit Community College. Natalie has faithfully served in a variety of ministry roles at the churches she and Pastor Don have been part of, including leading and supporting events, children’s ministry, and women’s ministry.

Ed Stockwell 

Church Trustee

Our church has been blessed by Ed’s faithful service for over 20 years as he oversees the finances of First Baptist Church of Sutton, now known as Legacy Church. His steady leadership and commitment have been an essential part of the church’s ongoing ministry.


Ed and his wife, Meg, live in nearby Whitinsville. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and snowmobiling in Pittsburg, New Hampshire. He also serves behind the scenes by helping maintain the church building and property, faithfully caring for the place where ministry happens.

​Steven Ballard
​Worship Director

Steve is a native Californian who brings experience from serving in similar roles at two previous churches. An accomplished guitarist, he leads with both skill and humility, and has been instrumental in building and developing a growing worship team as God continues to bring gifted musicians to serve.


Steve and his wife, Betsy, live in Worcester and are grateful to be part of what God is doing through Legacy Church.
